Topson and ana join T1 for The International 11 qualifiers

T1 Signs Dota 2 Legends Topson and Ana for The International 11

Southeast Asian team T1 has made a major roster change for The International (TI) 11 by signing two of the most accomplished Dota 2 players ever: Topson and ana.

T1 announced the news on Twitter, confirming that Topson will be a stand-in for the team. It’s uncertain whether ana will also be a stand-in or if he will stay with the team permanently.

Exciting Additions to T1’s Dota 2 Roster

T1 welcomed the new additions to their Dota 2 roster on Twitter, urging fans to support the team as they prepare for the SEA Qualifiers of TI11.

Topson, who played for OG in TI last year, joins T1 as a stand-in after winning the European regional qualifiers. Meanwhile, ana played for OG in 2019, helping them achieve back-to-back victories at TI before retiring from the pro scene last year.

Recent rumors indicated that both Topson and ana were planning to return to the Dota 2 pro scene. ana’s comeback was confirmed when he joined Team Liquid during the Riyadh Masters and played as a stand-in for Royal Never Give Up. Topson, on the other hand, took a break from competitive Dota after TI10 but expressed his desire to come back.

T1’s new roster will feature Topson, ana, Kuku, Xepher, and Whitemon. They replace Karl Baldovino and Gabbi, who recently left the team. Although T1 finished in the seventh to eighth place at TI10, they have not qualified for TI11 through DPC points.
