TNC Predator Welcomes Febby to Head New Roster of Emerging SEA Talent

TNC Predator Embraces Rising Talent in New Dota 2 Roster

TNC Predator is changing its approach to team building, opting for a roster in Dota 2 that focuses on up-and-coming players who can develop together under the guidance of experienced leaders.

Only one player, Febby, remains from the previous TNC lineup. Febby served as the team’s head coach throughout 2020 before participating as a coach for Team Undying in The International 10. He is now shifting back into the role of captain to lead this young roster.

Aside from Febby, TNC has constructed its roster around young talent with varying levels of experience in the competitive scene. Prieme “PlayHard” Banquil is the only other player with more than three years of experience. He started his career in 2014 with the relatively unknown Mineski squad but gained recognition in recent years with Geek Fam and OB Esports x Neon.

Yuri “Yowe” Pacaña and Lee “X1aOyU” Qian Yu began their competitive journeys in late 2019 and have been active in the SEA scene ever since. Both players participated in the previous DPC season as members of Execration and Team Mystery, respectively.

Levi “YoungGod” Lagaret is the newest addition to the team, having only participated in a few notable competitive events since 2019 without a consistent roster. His most notable performance came with Tiger God in the Ewin Challenge Cup, where they finished second to the established Polaris Esports.

This roster marks TNC’s return to its roots, aiming to nurture and develop new talent into a sustainable team.

“For the past years, our team always had high-profile players but this time, we want to move in a different direction by picking up rising talents from the region and teaming them up with a veteran leader in the form of our new captain, Febby,” stated TNC. “Looking back, this is a formula that worked for us during 2016 and 2017. We hope that the same formula can bring positive results to our team.”

Overall, the SEA region has seen improvement with the emergence of rising talents, roster changes by major organizations, and the introduction of new teams like Talon Esports entering Dota for the first time with a roster led by Fly.

This new TNC roster will face tough challenges in the upcoming 2022 DPC season, competing against teams like T1, OB.Neon, and a revamped Fnatic roster yet to be revealed.
