Thunder Predator becomes the first team to be eliminated from The International 10

Thunder Predator Eliminated from Dota 2’s The International 10

Thunder Predator (TP), one of South America’s top Dota 2 teams, has been eliminated from The International 10 with a 0-7 record after losing to Team Aster in two consecutive matches. Despite their strong performance throughout the year, TP struggled in the Dota Pro Circuit and failed to maintain their momentum.

In the past, TP surprised everyone with a fifth-place finish at the ONE Esports Singapore Major and victories against Alliance, PSG.LGD, and Team Liquid. However, they missed out on the second Major and experienced mediocre results leading up to TI10. Luckily, TP qualified for TI directly due to their high regional league placements and DPC points. Nevertheless, there were concerns about the team’s performance by the end of the regular season.

TP’s struggles became apparent from the beginning of the tournament when they lost their opening series 0-2 against OG. Their struggles continued as Alliance defeated them in a close game one and dominated game two. On day two, Invictus Gaming and Undying both defeated TP, leaving them in a difficult position. Day three was TP’s last chance to make a comeback, but Virtus.pro, Evil Geniuses, and eventually Team Aster crushed their hopes completely.

After three days of matches, TP’s record stood at 0-7, making them the first team to be eliminated from TI10. They have one remaining series against T1 before their journey comes to an end. TP is calling for the support of their fans during this challenging time.

Despite showing promise early on, TP will finish in joint 17th place and receive $100,000 from the $40 million prize pool.
