These 5 heroes are shaping Dota 2’s meta and show no signs of stopping after a month

New Meta Heroes in Dota 2 Patch 7.33: Who’s Thriving?

Whenever a major update rolls out in Dota 2, players scramble to adapt and develop new strategies to maintain their rankings. Patch 7.33 was no different, especially with professional players in the midst of the Dota Pro Circuit.

While some heroes struggled to find their footing after the release of patch 7.33c, there are a few sneaky heroes who managed to retain their strength and dominate the game.

Medusa

Medusa emerged as a powerful hero after the 7.33b patch. The improvements to her Mana Shield have made her even tankier, allowing her to snowball out of control if left unchecked.

This hero has become a common pick in professional matches and boasts a win rate of over 54 percent with a pick rate of more than 18 percent in ranked matches.

In addition, the increased number of jungle camps in patch 7.33 has accelerated Medusa’s farming speed, enabling her to farm essential items faster.

Legion Commander

Legion Commander (LC) has embarked on a new journey in patch 7.33. The changes to the offlane structure have made it easier for LC to catch up when forced out of the lane.

Despite receiving some nerfs, LC remains an excellent pick. Some players have even attempted to carry games as offlaner LCs, taking advantage of her damage output and mobility.

At the time of writing, LC maintains a win rate of above 54 percent with a 22 percent pick rate.

Bounty Hunter

Bounty Hunter (BH) has become the ultimate nuisance in patch 7.33 and beyond. BH disrupts the laning stage for solo laners and has become even more annoying with the Shadow Walk stun.

BH excels as a gank starter, especially in the early game, and synergizes well with high-damage skill shot heroes like Skywrath Mage.

Currently, Bounty Hunter maintains a win rate of close to 54 percent and is the most-picked hero in the divine bracket with a 23.43 percent pick rate.

Riki

Riki has made a surprising comeback after the removal of Sleeping Dart. This hero has returned to its old identity as a high-damage core hero, capable of inflicting pain and securing kills around the map.

With Smoke Screen’s armor reduction and support from the team, Riki can easily take down enemy heroes. Riki currently holds a 54 percent win rate and a 15 percent pick rate.

Windranger

Windranger’s transformation into a Universal hero has proven to be a blessing in disguise. Her ultimate has the potential to dismantle even the toughest opponents in the late game.

Windranger continues to be one of the heaviest hitters in Dota 2, maintaining a win rate of 52.63 percent and a pick rate of 17.82 percent.
