The Top Performers of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit 2022

The Dota 2 Pro Circuit (DPC) season is a chance for teams to prove their worth and make it to The International. In 2022, TI11 became a memorable event in Dota 2’s history. Despite some production issues, the tournament showcased legendary storylines and excellent gameplay.

One standout region was South America, with Hokori, beastcoast, and Thunder Awaken making waves. These teams came together and performed exceptionally at TI11, impressing fans with their skills and achievements.

South America’s Rise: Hokori, beastcoast, and Thunder Awaken

The year 2022 was a phenomenal one for South America in Dota 2. Hokori, a division two team, made its mark at TI11 and caused upsets during the group stage. Beastcoast, a long-standing representative of the region, finished in 7th place. Thunder Awaken achieved the highest placement ever for South America, securing 5th place alongside PSG.LGD.

Europe’s Powerhouses: OG, Team Liquid, and Team Secret

OG, a two-time TI-winning organization, made significant roster changes before the 2022 DPC season. Despite the adjustments, they quickly found success and won a Major in Stockholm. They had a commendable run at TI11, tying for 7th place with beastcoast.

Team Liquid and Team Secret, two powerhouses of Europe, had to go through the Last Chance Qualifiers to secure their spots at TI11. Despite disappointing performances throughout the DPC season, both teams redeemed themselves with Liquid placing 3rd and Secret placing 2nd at TI11.

China’s Success: Team Aster and PSG.LGD

Team Aster and PSG.LGD represented China at TI11. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Chinese teams missed out on attending Majors and practicing against international teams. PSG.LGD struggled to find their footing, but Team Aster stepped up and placed an impressive 4th after defeating LGD.

Tundra Esports had an uncertain DPC season, struggling in LAN events. However, they defied expectations and dominated TI11. Tundra’s mastery of Dota 2’s metagame allowed them to effortlessly cruise through the tournament and lift the Aegis of Champions.
