The Swag Bag for The International 2022 is close to maximum capacity again

Valve’s Swag Bag Brings in Thousands of New and Active Players to Dota 2

Valve’s generous gift of a Swag Bag has caused a surge of new and returning players to flock to Dota 2. The game’s servers were overwhelmed by the sudden influx of players, forcing Valve to limit the number of players who could claim their rewards to ease the strain. However, more players are now able to claim their Swag Bags.

Initial Release Issues with Dota 2’s Swag Bag

When the Swag Bag was first released on October 26, it caused the Game Coordinator of Dota 2 to crash, preventing active players from queuing up for games. Valve’s solution allowed some players to continue playing, but others had to wait to claim their free Arcana and battle pass.

Claiming the Swag Bag Becomes Easier as Demand Reduces

Initially, thousands of players encountered an error message when trying to claim their The International Swag Bag, informing them that they couldn’t unlock their rewards yet. Now, as the hype dies down, more players have been able to successfully claim their gifts from Valve in time to enjoy the Diretide event.

In addition to playing Dota, the battle pass provides a great opportunity to earn more Candy, which can be exchanged for valuable cosmetics at the Candyworks Shop. Candy is rewarded for reaching certain tiers and players can also purchase levels to speed up their progress and complete weekly challenges.

The Candyworks shop offers a range of valuable items, including Arcanas. However, these have a lower drop rate compared to the less valuable items in the shop, requiring players to use reroll tokens to increase their chances.
