The prize pool for The International 10 continues to surpass expectations, exceeding $15 million.

The International 10 Prize Pool Continues to Grow

The prize pool for The International 10 (TI10) in Dota 2 has reached a milestone, surpassing $15 million. Although it has slowed down compared to its initial growth, it is still on track to break records.

On May 28, the TI10 Battle Pass hit $10 million, which was almost $1 million ahead of the pace set in 2019. However, it has slightly fallen behind since then and currently sits at around $500,000 above the previous record.

Despite this slowdown in sales, the TI10 prize pool is expected to reach approximately $37 million by the end. This estimate does not account for any major increases or decreases in sales, only a potential swing of $500,000 in either direction.

Even with the drop in earnings, the TI10 prize pool reached $15 million three days earlier than TI9. It is also significantly ahead of all previous Battle Passes, currently more than 20 days ahead. This means that even if it slows down considerably, it should still match last year’s success.

Typically, sales slow down in mid-June as players wait for more content to be released. The real test for TI10 will be if Valve can replicate the massive jump in sales that occurred in July during TI9, which propelled it to new heights.

With the recent release of the Queen of Pain Arcana and more content scheduled for the summer, TI10 is poised to break the previous record of $34,330,068.
