The last team survives as Gaimin Gladiators, OG progresses at Stockholm Major

Boom Esports and Gaimin Gladiators Dominate at Dota Pro Circuit Stockholm Major

The Dota Pro Circuit Stockholm Major witnessed explosive action as Boom Esports and BetBoom Team sought vengeance while Gaimin Gladiators’ Miroslav “BOOM” Bičan took center stage and swept beastcoast in a 2-0 victory.

Meanwhile, OG made a stunning comeback from multiple deficits to eliminate Fnatic, the final Southeast Asian team in the playoffs, resulting in both Fnatic and BetBoom tying for eighth place.

Beastcoast started in the lower bracket after a rough Group Stage performance. They secured a victory against reigning champions Team Spirit in the first round and faced the Eastern Europe representative in the second round.

Both BetBoom and beastcoast showcased their dynamic gameplay in two intense games, with one team consistently holding the lead. However, a single pivotal fight could turn the tide. The third game found both teams tied at 1-1, but beastcoast dominated the team fight, showcasing the true strengths of K1 Hector, Chris Luck, and their squad.

However, Gaimin Gladiators, with their measured pace and strategic play, dismantled the South American beastcoast team in two dominating games.

The 2-0 defeat for beastcoast was not indicative of their fighting capabilities as they kept the second game close. It was the exceptional performance from BOOM, who played Ember Spirit in both games, going a combined 28/3/28. Surprisingly, beastcoast allowed BOOM to play this hero in both drafts.

In the lower bracket, OG and Fnatic engaged in a highly contested series, with each team claiming a victory in the first two games, showcasing their exceptional gameplay.

In the final game, Fnatic initially took the lead but couldn’t defeat OG. Every time Fnatic made a move to secure a victory, OG countered with the perfect play, resulting in a lengthy game that OG eventually won.

OG will now face Thunder Awaken in the lower bracket semifinals. The winner of that matchup will proceed to face the loser of Tundra Esports and TSM on May 21 for a chance to reach the grand finals.
