The ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational
December will see the best teams in the world compete in the ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational. With no big ESL or Dota Pro Circuit tournaments scheduled, top teams like Team Secret, TNC Predator, and Evil Geniuses will clash in Singapore for a chance at $200,000 and a win going into the new year.
This event will also mark PSG.LGD’s first competition against other top teams after skipping the first DPC Major and getting eliminated early in the DreamLeague Season 13 open qualifiers. Lu “Somnus” Yao and his roster will be one of the squads to watch in the early stages of the event.
Here are the groups for the ONE Esports Dota 2 Singapore World Pro Invitational starting on Dec 17!
The inclusion of Team Aster and J Storm is a surprise, but it shows both teams have proven themselves early this season. Unfortunately, South American teams were omitted, disappointing Singaporean Dota fans who wanted to see representation from Fnatic or Geek Fam.
Group A looks like it’ll be the most competitive part of the tournament, with TNC as the early favorite based on their recent performance both in and out of the DPC. Group B should also feature a tight race between EG, Liquid, and Vici.
The ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational will be held from Dec. 17 to Dec. 22.
