Valve Teases “The Big Update” for Underlords with New Alliances and Heroes
Christmas has come early for Underlords fans, as Valve has teased “The Big Update” revealing two new alliances and four heroes. The game is taking a giant leap forward in shedding its beta tag.
Valve will be sharing new details daily until the release of the update. Bugs have infiltrated the game with the introduction of the Insects alliance. The new alliance brings three new heroes – Broodmother, Nyx Assassin, and Weaver – along with the buggy brethren Sand King.
The Insect alliance draws inspiration from Broodmother’s skills in Dota 2. It causes Spiderlings to swarm the map, biting enemies and blinding them, giving them a chance to miss attacks. Details regarding whether the Spiderlings are unique units or can benefit from synergies are yet to be revealed.
Dazzle will also join the cast with the power of the Nothl Realm, bringing the new Healers alliance. Dazzle will partner with Enchantress, Warlock, Omniknight, and Necrophos. The Healers alliance amplifies healing and can be tremendously strong when paired with defensive alliances like Brawny and Warrior.
