Team Spirit advances to top 3 at The International 10 after defeating Invictus Gaming

Team Spirit: Dominating at Dota 2’s The International 10

Team Spirit has surpassed all expectations and now ranks among the top three teams at Dota 2’s The International 10. They showcased their prowess by not only getting revenge on Invictus Gaming for sending them to the lower bracket but crushing them in the process.

Yatoro and TORONTOTOKYO proved to be an unstoppable duo, with a combined 17/1/20 score in game one. However, it was a team effort from top to bottom. Collapse’s Mars, Miposhka’s undefeated Bane, and Mira’s clutch saves on Io all played a crucial role in Spirit’s success.

In game one, Spirit dominated the one major teamfight, leaving Invictus Gaming with no answers. Even when IG managed to get a pick, Spirit bounced back stronger and forced them to retreat with an optimized response.

In game two, IG secured several early kills, but it didn’t translate to teamfight success. As Spirit fell behind in the mid-game, Yatoro’s Drow Ranger turned the tides with a Rampage, dealing over 10,000 damage and wiping out IG despite facing two Chronospheres.

This marks Yatoro’s second Rampage on the TI10 main stage, a feat achieved only six times in any iteration of the TI playoffs. Despite being a first-time attendee, Yatoro now holds the record for two Rampages on the main stage at TI.

That final fight was all Spirit needed to confidently take control of the map and secure their victory. IG had no buybacks available, leading them to call GGs soon after.

By achieving a top-three finish, Team Spirit has attained the highest placement of any Eastern European team since Na’Vi at TI3. They now have a chance to make it to the grand finals if they can overcome Team Secret in the next round.
