Team Secret Emerges Victorious in ESL One Hamburg Finals
After fighting back from the lower bracket, Team Secret showcased their exceptional teamwork in the ESL One Hamburg finals against Vici Gaming. In game one of the best-of-five series, Secret gained an early advantage, only for Vici to make a comeback with successful teamfights. Despite this, Secret analyzed Vici’s weaknesses and capitalized on them, taking the lead in the first game.
The second game focused on direct confrontation, lasting over an hour. Vici managed to disorient Secret and make key plays, but this was not enough to secure victory. Vici took control in the third game, and with their early lead, they dominated each fight and secured a 2-1 lead in a 35-minute game.
With their tournament life on the line, Secret turned the tides in game four, matching Vici’s speed and coordination. They pressed hard early and secured a victory in just 33 minutes, setting up a winner-take-all fifth game.
The final game brought high energy and excitement as both teams fought fiercely. However, Vici made a critical mistake in a teamfight, allowing Secret to build their advantage and secure the win. With this victory, Team Secret were crowned the 2018 ESL One Hamburg champions.
