Team Liquid, the defending champions of Epicenter, showcased their dominance once again as they emerged victorious in the grand final against Evil Geniuses. With a 3-1 win, Team Liquid secured their second consecutive title in the tournament series and a prize of $500,000.
In the opening game, Team Liquid set an unstoppable pace and swiftly defeated Evil Geniuses in just 17 minutes. Although Evil Geniuses fought back in the second game, their hopes were crushed in the remaining two games as Team Liquid’s support player, Maroun “GH” Merhej, showcased exceptional skills with Earthshaker, leading the team to victory.
Team Liquid Overcomes Challenges in the Playoffs
Despite their lackluster performance in the group stage, Team Liquid demonstrated their resilience in the playoffs. After losing the first game against domestic favorites Virtus Pro, Team Liquid bounced back and defeated them. The next challenge awaited them in surprise group stage winners, LGD.Forever Young. However, Team Liquid swiftly dispatched them in two games, securing their spot in the grand final.
On the other side of the bracket, Evil Geniuses, the tournament favorites, had a smooth journey to the semifinals due to their strong performance in the group stage. They defeated Team Secret in two games to secure their spot in the grand final as well.

With their triumph in the grand final, Team Liquid not only retained their title but also earned $250,000. This victory also puts them in a strong position to receive a direct invitation to the prestigious International 7 tournament.
