Team Liquid, Fnatic, LGD, and Ninjas in Pyjamas qualify for The International 2019

New Teams Qualify for The International 2019

Team Secret emerged as the winners at the MDL Disneyland Paris Major, but four other teams also secured their spots at The International 2019. LGD Gaming, Fnatic, Team Liquid, and Ninjas in Pyjamas earned enough points at the Paris Major to qualify for TI9.

LGD Gaming, who had finished as the runners-up at TI8, became the first team this season to secure their spot at TI9. They were followed by Virtus Pro, Evil Geniuses, and Vici Gaming. The competition was tough for other teams on the brink of qualification, but LGD Gaming was able to secure their place.

The fourth-place finish at the MDL Disneyland Paris Major was enough for LGD Gaming to secure their place in the DPC rankings for TI9. However, they are still more than 2,000 points behind Vici Gaming, making it unlikely for them to catch up without a top-three placement at the EPICENTER Major.

Fnatic, on the other hand, had a poor performance in Paris and were among the first four teams to be eliminated. However, their previous performances in the season helped them secure enough points for a TI9 berth.

Team Liquid had a disappointing season so far, with early eliminations in the last two Majors. However, their deep run in Paris pushed them up in the rankings and qualified them for TI9.

Ninjas in Pyjamas became the eighth and final team to qualify for The International. They had a strong showing at the Dota PIT Minor, where they emerged as the winners, and their top-six finish in Paris secured their spot at the biggest tournament of the year.

Keen Gaming, TNC Predator, EHOME, and defending champions OG are currently in the last four spots, but the StarLadder Ukraine Minor and EPICENTER Major could still impact the final standings.

The closed qualifiers for the EPICENTER Major will begin on May 15.
