Team Liquid dominates LGD Gaming, Virtus Pro surprises Team Secret at the EPICENTER Major

EPICENTER Major Playoffs: Virtus Pro Prevails Against Team Secret

The EPICENTER Major playoffs began with an intense matchup between the top two teams in the Dota Pro Circuit, Team Secret and Virtus Pro.

Despite Team Secret’s previous loss to Virtus Pro at DreamLeague Season 11, both teams have been battling it out throughout the season. This series was no exception, with Virtus Pro eventually emerging as the victor.

In game one, both teams fought hard for almost an hour, with Virtus Pro gaining an advantage through key kills. However, despite their efforts, Virtus Pro was unable to secure the win.

Game two saw Secret making an interesting draft choice, picking up heroes that Virtus Pro had used in the previous game. The match was closely contested, but Secret managed to come out on top with a narrow victory.

In game three, Virtus Pro dominated Secret, forcing them on the defensive and overwhelming them. Virtus Pro’s win put them in a strong position to overtake Secret in the DPC rankings, until Team Liquid changed the game.

Team Liquid’s Strong Performance Against LGD Gaming

Team Liquid, with their new roster, performed exceptionally well in the group stages and continued their success in the playoffs against LGD Gaming. Liquid’s drafts were on point, and their player, Aliwi “w33” Omar, was particularly effective with his hero, Windranger.

In game one, the match started slowly, but Liquid gained momentum and secured a convincing victory. In game two, LGD adjusted their approach, banning out key heroes, but Miracle- stepped up to carry Liquid to victory with his Ember Spirit.

This set up a match between Liquid and Virtus Pro to determine who would secure a top-three finish in the EPICENTER Major.

Liquid’s Dominance Against Virtus Pro

In the match against Virtus Pro, Liquid continued their success with their effective draft choices and the strong performances of Miracle- and w33. They secured quick victories in both games, with w33 on Templar Assassin and Miracle- on Juggernaut.

With this win, Liquid secured a top-three finish in the tournament, despite their roster changes. The addition of w33 has proven to be a seamless fit with the team.

The tournament will continue on June 25 with a matchup between Vici Gaming and Gambit Esports.
