Team Aster undergoes roster changes, introducing three new players and a coach, while parting ways with Fade.

Changes in Top Chinese Dota 2 Rosters: Team Aster Acquires Du “Monet” Peng and Liu “白学家” Yuhao

Team Aster, a prominent name in the Chinese Dota 2 scene, has made a significant roster shuffle by bringing on board Du “Monet” Peng and Liu “白学家” Yuhao from Royal Never Give Up. This move comes after the news broke that Song “Sccc” Chun would not be renewing his contract with the team, which is set to expire on Sept. 1.

Speculations and Community Reaction

Upon hearing the news, many in the Dota 2 community anticipated Aster’s move. Earlier today, it was announced that Song “Sccc” Chun will not be returning to the team, leading to speculations about a potential roster change. Additionally, team captain Pan “Fade” Yi will also be departing from the organization.

New Roster and Replacements

Aster’s co-founder, Xu “BurNIng” Zhilei, revealed the team’s new lineup during one of his streams. Joining the team alongside Monet and Yuhao, Jiang “天命” An will replace Fade as the team’s position four player. Kee “ChYuan” Ng will also be leaving the roster. ChYuan, who signed with the organization last April, was the second longest-tenured player, right after Lin “Xxs” Jing.

Additions to the Coaching Staff

In addition to the new roster, Chinese Dota 2 legend Zhang “LaNm” Zhicheng will be joining Team Aster as a coach. LaNm recently left Team Sirius to take up this role, bringing his expertise and experience to support the team.

It is yet to be announced when the new Aster roster will make its debut. However, Aster’s developmental roster, Aster.Aries, is currently competing in ESL One Thailand.

Overall, this roster reshuffle marks a significant change for the Chinese Dota 2 scene, with top teams making strategic adjustments to improve their performance and compete at a higher level.
