Team Aster and other teams affected by COVID will participate in The International 10.

Valve Finds Solution for COVID-Positive Teams Ahead of The International 10

Valve faced a potential disaster with COVID-positive teams and new local regulations in Romania just days ahead of The International 10. However, the company and tournament organizer PGL have come up with a solution to allow players to compete even while self-quarantining.

Teams with players who test positive for COVID will still be allowed to participate in TI10, according to posts from Team Aster and Dota 2 community member Wykrhm Reddy. Affected players will be provided with the necessary equipment to compete within their isolation rooms, where they can continue practicing and playing with their teammates.

As of now, Aster and Invictus Gaming are the only teams at TI that have tested positive for COVID, with Aster putting all 10 members of their team into quarantine.

Aster has confirmed that the players are still located within the training hotel where all group stage matches will take place. Each player has their own separate isolation room, equipped with a direct internet connection and necessary equipment.

A detailed schedule for TI has not been shared yet, but Valve has confirmed that the event will begin on Oct. 7 as planned, without any further delays.
