Fnatic, Geek Fam, and Team Adroit Qualify for ESL One Los Angeles Major
Fnatic, Geek Fam, and Team Adroit are now qualified for the ESL One Los Angeles Major in the Dota 2 esports scene. While Fnatic and Geek Fam had a smooth journey through the qualifiers, Adroit faced internet issues that forced them to forfeit a game. This setback, however, didn’t dampen their determination.
Geek Fam and Fnatic Dominated Group B
Geek Fam and Fnatic were the dominant teams in Group B of the qualifiers. Although they traded one game each in their series, they comfortably made it to the playoffs where they demolished their opponents.
Adroit’s Second Chance
Adroit faced challenges due to poor internet connection and had to abandon the first game of their series. Despite the intermittent issues in the second game, they managed to secure a second chance. The Filipino team relocated to an internet cafe and easily defeated IO Dota 2.
TNC Predator’s Slump
TNC Predator, the champions of the MDL Chengdu Major, have been performing poorly. Their aggressive playstyle, which was once their strength, hasn’t been effective lately. They have struggled to adapt to the new meta and have stuck to their old strategies and heroes.
TNC Predator’s ticket to The International 2020 is almost guaranteed due to their Major win, but they will need to go through the Minor route if they want to attend the LA Major. The change of scenery might help them regain their form.
