T1 recruits QO as Dota 2 analyst

T1 Signs Analyst QO to Improve Dota Roster

T1 continues its impressive performance in the 2022 Dota Pro Circuit, currently holding the second spot in the Southeast Asia regional league. To further strengthen its roster, the organization has enlisted the help of SEA legend Kim “QO” Sun Yeob as an analyst.

QO, who previously played alongside T1’s current coach Park “March” Tae-won in MVP Phoenix, has been part of several deep runs at various iterations of The International.

QO took a break from competitive Dota in 2018 after Immortals disbanded its roster. He most recently played for Team Oracle, which he helped form in May 2019 before transitioning to a coaching role.

Since May 2020, Team Oracle has been relatively inactive, with many of its players joining other teams like Nigma Galaxy SEA and 5ManMidas. The addition of QO to T1 not only provides additional support to March in strategizing for his players but also reunites one of the original South Korean Dota duos.

With the cancellation of the 2022 DPC Winter Tour Major by Valve, T1 has an important goal of overtaking BOOM Esports to secure the top spot in the SEA region. A victory over BOOM and Fnatic in the regional league would earn Kuku and his team the top seed, along with $30,000 and 300 DPC Points for the upcoming Spring Tour.
