SyndereN Departs from NiP’s Dota 2 Roster

NiP Makes First Roster Change in Dota 2 Return

After announcing its return to Dota 2 two months ago, Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) has made its first roster change. Troels “syndereN” Nielsen, who played with the core of the current NiP roster for more than a year under various organizations, will no longer compete with the squad. To replace syndereN, NiP is bringing on former Heroes of Newerth jungler Aydin “iNsania” Sarkohi.

Background and Previous Success

In February 2016, syndereN joined No Diggity, along with current NiP players Maximilian “qojqva” Bröcker and Adrian “Era” Kryeziu. The roster later joined Escape Gaming and eventually joined NiP on January 25. The team’s biggest success came when they qualified for the International 6. However, they were eliminated in last place during the $20.4 million event in Seattle.

Failed Qualifications and Roster Change

During syndereN’s time with NiP, the team failed to qualify for several major Dota 2 events, including the Dota 2 Asia Championship and the Kiev Major. However, when the three core players from Escape Gaming joined NiP, former Fnatic players Kai “H4nn1” Hanbückers and Kalle “Trixi” Saarinen were added, which changed the dynamics of the team. The changes were significant enough that the players themselves pushed for a roster change.

SyndereN’s Future Plans

SyndereN has stated that he will continue competing after the conclusion of the Kiev Major.
