Ninjas in Pyjamas Exact Their Revenge on Virtus Pro
Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) sought vengeance against Virtus Pro (VP) at the OGA Dota PIT Online, defeating the ESL One Los Angeles Online champions 2-0. This victory comes after VP eliminated NiP from the WePlay! Pushka League.
Ondřej “Supream^” Štarha dominated the series, showcasing his skills as NiP’s mid laner with an impressive K/D/A of 22/1/26 across both games.
In the first game, no[o]ne’s Void Spirit attempted to claim the Radiant bounty rune but was quickly punished by NiP, resulting in Supream^ drawing first blood. Unfortunately for no[o]ne, VP’s superstar player, he overstayed his welcome in the mid lane multiple times, allowing Supream^’s Death Prophet to secure two more kills against him.
In the second game, no[o]ne managed to get first blood on a support as Queen of Pain. However, Supream^ quickly rebounded, transitioning into a successful ganker for his team while Charlie excelled as Lycan, dealing crucial damage to enemy heroes and structures.
Supream^’s Puck was instrumental in NiP’s victory, utilizing the hero’s low cooldowns and mobility to consistently lock down VP’s heroes with silences and leashes. He finished the game without a single death.
Following this win, NiP currently holds the top spot in Group B. They are followed closely by Team Secret, Europe’s leading team and current champions of the WePlay! Pushka League.
On the other hand, VP’s series loss places them in a precarious position. With two series losses, including one against Team Secret, they now sit at the bottom of the group. VP’s upcoming series against Team Liquid and Team Spirit will determine their fate in the tournament, as the bottom team in each group will be eliminated from the OGA Dota PIT playoffs.
In order to avoid an early exit, VP must find their momentum and reclaim their form before it’s too late.
