Dota 2 Introduces Ability Arena Custom Game Mode
Dota 2, the popular multiplayer online battle arena game, has always offered a variety of custom games for players to enjoy. From special modes included in the yearly battle pass to user-created games like Dota Auto Chess, there’s always something new to explore in the Dota 2 universe.
Today, well-known Dota 2 caster, SUNSfan, thrilled fans by revealing his own custom game mode called Ability Arena. SUNSfan showcased the game mode on his Twitch channel, alongside fellow caster and analyst Jenkins.
Similar to the existing Ability Draft mode in Dota 2, Ability Arena allows players to experiment and create overpowered heroes by combining different abilities. However, unlike Ability Draft, this game mode takes place in its own unique arena where players engage in intense battles.
The battles in Ability Arena are automatic, and players must strategically choose abilities that synergize well with each other to defeat their opponents. The game begins as a 1-vs-1 battle and progresses to full team fights. After each round, players earn gold, which can be used to level up heroes, upgrade skills, and acquire new abilities. It’s important to spend your gold wisely as it resets after each round.
Ability Arena also introduces a new element to the game: Gods. Each God offers specific abilities that boost your team of heroes, and as they level up, more skills are unlocked. Additionally, SUNSfan has included a battle pass system, rewarding players with additional bonuses as they progress.
