SumaiL’s return to competitive gaming after a 5-month hiatus wasn’t completely rust-free, but it was sufficient for a series victory.

Liquid SumaiL Shows His Dominance in Dota Pro Circuit Europe

Today in the Dota Pro Circuit Europe upper division, Liquid’s stand-in player SumaiL had a standout performance against Brame. Despite a rocky start, SumaiL’s impressive play on Puck in game three secured a 2-1 victory for his team.

As an emergency replacement for Boxi, SumaiL took on the position two role while qojqva moved to the off-lane. Throughout the series, SumaiL showcased his skills by playing signature heroes such as Leshrac and Puck.

In game one, SumaiL dominated his lane in a relatively quiet match. However, the win was mainly attributed to miCKe and qojqva’s strong performance with their Phantom Assassin and Magnus combo.

The second game proved to be a challenge for SumaiL as Liquid’s top lane struggled. Despite securing key kills early on, SumaiL couldn’t maintain his momentum against Brame’s Templar Assassin and Centaur Warrunner. Liquid showed their teamfighting skills but ultimately fell short.

However, it was game three where SumaiL truly shined. Playing as Puck with constant support from Taiga’s Earth Spirit, SumaiL led the team to victory. His aggression and flawless execution pushed Brame into a corner, allowing Liquid to claim new territory with each battle. SumaiL ended the game with 15 kills and zero deaths.

Liquid’s coach, William “Blitz” Lee, praised SumaiL’s phenomenal performance in the post-series interview. He expressed his surprise if SumaiL doesn’t receive another opportunity on a top-tier team. However, Blitz also mentioned that Boxi’s return would be welcomed, although there is no set timetable.

Liquid currently holds a 2-1 record in the league. Their next match is against Hellbear Smashers, another team promoted from the lower division, on May 1 at 11am CT.
