SumaiL separates from Team Secret

Team Secret Parts Ways with SumaiL Due to Lack of Results and Internal Differences

After two Dota Pro Circuit Tours together, Team Secret is parting ways with SumaiL. The decision comes as a result of a lack of results and internal differences within the team.

Following The International 10, Secret made some surprising changes to their roster. They replaced MATUMBAMAN and zai with players from Team Liquid, SumaiL and iceiceice. They also moved Nisha to position two to accommodate this lineup.

Initially, the lineup seemed promising. However, once the 2022 DPC started, Secret struggled to keep up. They finished fifth in both DPC Tours and at the GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Dubai. These results meant that Secret would miss a Valve-sponsored Major for the first time in recent history.

The decision to part ways with SumaiL was not solely based on tournament results. Puppey, the team’s captain, mentioned that there were internal issues and a lack of synergy within the roster.

“This iteration of Team Secret has always had issues,” said Puppey. “We tried role swapping and different strategies, but we couldn’t find the consistency we needed. Sometimes, it’s best to make a change and move on. No hard feelings.”

Team Secret is now actively looking for a new player to team up with Nisha. Rumors suggest that they are interested in signing Remco “Crystallis” Arets from Entity. However, no official confirmation has been provided.

As for SumaiL, he is now a free agent and may attract interest from other teams looking for a position one player. Nigma Galaxy is one of the teams that could potentially sign him, considering their own struggles in the DPC season.
