SumaiL rejoins OG as the main carry

OG Recruits SumaiL for TI10 Western Europe Qualifiers

OG is not satisfied with its recent performance at the WePlay AniMajor and is looking to add some firepower to its roster. The team has announced that SumaiL, a longtime enemy and former ally, will be joining their ranks for the upcoming TI10 Western Europe qualifiers. SumaiL previously played for OG in January, achieving a runners-up placement at ESL One Los Angeles 2020 during his seven-month stint with the organization.

The 22-year-old player’s most recent venture was with European rival Team Liquid, where they had a promising second-place finish in the Western Europe Regional League. However, their performance took a hit at the AniMajor, as they were eliminated in the group stage.

OG took to Twitter to announce the return of SumaiL, stating, “In pure OG fashion, our road to qualify to TI this year is not the smoothest. A king’s help will be more than welcomed. @SumaaaaiL has accepted to once again hop on our train and give us a royal hand. Welcome back, king. #DreamOG”

The road to defending their Aegis of Champions for OG starts with a challenging regional qualifier, featuring strong teams like Nigma, Liquid, and Tundra Esports. Only one team will emerge victorious and secure a spot at TI10 in August. OG will have to win multiple best-of-three series, with the possibility of playing additional matches if they drop to the lower bracket.

With the addition of SumaiL, OG hopes to capture a trilogy of Aegises. However, they have to overcome formidable opponents in the ESL One Summer tournament, starting on June 15. Following that, the stacked WEU qualifiers will commence on July 7, where OG is set to face Vikin.gg.
