Johan “N0tail” Sundstein announced today that OG has added Syed “SumaiL” Hassan to its Dota 2 roster.

During The International 2019 “True Sight” documentary premiere in Berlin, OG hinted at important news about its Dota roster. While Sébastien “Ceb” Debs mentioned that the announcement would come during tomorrow’s OG Night, N0tail revealed that the team had a video presentation to share.

The video showcased players who had won The International in Dota 2 history, highlighting their unique contributions. It even featured Anathan “ana” Pham, who won’t be playing this season, and the recently retired Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka, who was present at the event.

SumaiL appeared as the final player shown, wearing OG’s jersey instead of his usual Evil Geniuses attire.

Following TI9, SumaiL was placed on EG’s inactive roster when the organization decided to make changes and replace some players. With nearly five seasons under his belt with the North American organization and his instrumental role in their TI5 victory, SumaiL joins OG during a transitional period.

The European team is known for its five-man synergy and SumaiL’s addition complements their playstyle. He recently switched to the carry position while playing for Quincy Crew in the early stages of the Dota Pro Circuit season, making him a perfect fit alongside Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen.

SumaiL expressed his excitement about joining OG, stating, “To do it with OG, people who are more accomplished than me now in Dota aspects. I am just looking forward to learning, from Ceb and N0tail especially. I am just very excited. The most I have been in my entire life.”

SumaiL will also be attending OG Night, which will be livestreamed on Red Bull’s Twitch channel. During the event, N0tail is expected to reveal the final two players who will fill the open roster spots for the upcoming ESL One Los Angeles Major qualifiers.
