Team Secret Sweeps Natus Vincere in ESL One LA Online League
In the ESL One Los Angeles Online league, Team Secret emerged victorious against Natus Vincere in their group stage match.
Team Secret’s Dominant Dota 2 Season
Team Secret has been in outstanding form throughout the Dota 2 season. Despite Natus Vincere bringing their best game, Team Secret maintained their unbeaten record by sweeping the series.
Game One: Secret Outplays Na’Vi
In game one, Team Secret showcased their superior gameplay and strategy. Na’Vi initially took an early lead with the last pick of Broodmother, but Secret’s decision to focus on armor and aura items proved to be successful when they grouped up and became nearly invincible. Na’Vi quickly realized they were outmatched and surrendered the game.
Game Two: An Intense Battle
The second game was a back-and-forth battle between the two teams. Na’Vi matched Team Secret step by step and utilized the global presence of Nature’s Prophet and pushing power of Death’s Prophet to control the map. Meanwhile, Team Secret’s MATUMBAMAN quietly farmed away, taking advantage of the space created by his team.
Eventually, Team Secret found the confidence to push up to the high ground with a farmed Medusa. However, disaster struck when MATUMBAMAN was defeated, losing the Divine Rapier in the process. MATUMBAMAN later admitted in a post-game interview that combining the Demon Edge and Sacred Relic was a mistake and that his team was unaware he had a Rapier. (Watch the interview here.)
Third Game: Team Secret’s Redemption
Despite the crucial error, Na’Vi now had a chance to turn the game around as Magical’s carry Nature’s Prophet picked up the Rapier. However, Na’Vi soon realized the vulnerabilities of Nature’s Prophet against Secret’s crowd control and defensive items. Secret regained the Rapier and, with two cores holding it, easily demolished the Na’Vi base to win their third consecutive series and maintain their undefeated streak.
Team Secret Leads Group B
Team Secret stands atop Group B in the ESL One LA league. Their dominant performance, efficient gameplay, and ability to secure victories have solidified their position as the team to beat in this event.
