Second Dota 2 Jakarta Invitational by ONE Esports to Take Place in November

ONE Esports Announces Second Jakarta Invitational for Dota 2

ONE Esports, the organizer of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit, has revealed that it will host the second Jakarta Invitational from Nov. 23 to 29. This event will take place before the current season is over and will feature a prize pool of $500,000.

Bigger and Better

Unlike previous Invitationals, which had 12 teams, this tournament is expected to have a larger pool of teams due to its week-long duration. Additionally, TWO qualifying slots will be available for public teams, suggesting an expansion of the event. While attracting premier teams might be challenging, the more stretched-out league schedule could help with player fatigue, making third-party tournaments more appealing.

Building a Strong Reputation

This will be ONE Esports’ fourth Dota 2 event, following the hosting of the final Major in Singapore. As the last Major of the season, this event will play a crucial role in deciding the final invites to The International 2020. With its commitment to hosting tournaments and its focus on building the Southeast Asian region, ONE Esports is establishing itself as a strong contender in the esports industry.

Confident and Backed by a Strong Brand

ONE Esports’ willingness to announce this schedule in advance demonstrates its confidence, despite the uncertain future of next year’s Dota Pro Circuit. Being backed by one of the largest global sports media properties in Asia, ONE Esports has the support and resources to make this event a success.
