SabeRLighT’s return to 12k MMR in Dota 2 leaves Twitch viewers hyped

SabeRLight- Hits 12,000 MMR: Reaching New Heights in Dota 2

TSM offlaner Jonáš “SabeRLight-” Volek is one of the top players in the professional Dota 2 scene. In June 2020, he hit 10,000 MMR and climbed to 11,000 MMR seven months later. But his journey didn’t stop there.

In February 2022, SabeRLight- achieved a remarkable milestone by hitting 12,000 MMR—an accomplishment only five other pro players have reached. However, maintaining this high rank proved to be even more challenging.

Although he experienced ups and downs in the ranked matchmaking system, SabeRLight- quickly bounced back. On September 18, he once again reached the 12,000 MMR mark and shared his excitement with his fans.

“It was a good run. We got 12,000 MMR. It was pretty epic,” he expressed at the end of his stream. “I think we all had a lot of fun, and that’s what matters. I certainly did. I appreciate everybody here being with me. It was really cool.”

This achievement was not only a lofty goal for SabeRLight-, but he also described it as “fucking epic” and felt incredibly proud. Now, he has set an even bigger objective—to win The International 2022 with TSM.

“I need to practice for TI and then go and win it,” he declared. Although this means he won’t be streaming for a while, SabeRLight- bid farewell to his audience, saying, “This is my goodbye. I will see you all at TI!”

TSM joined the Dota Pro Circuit 2021-22 by signing the roster from Team Undying, which includes SabeRLight-. Their success throughout the year earned them a spot at The International 2022, securing their chance to prepare for the tournament.

With less than a month remaining, SabeRLight- has returned to form just in time.
