SA vs. EU: Evil Geniuses’ unstoppable Monkey King secures Dota 2’s Berlin Major as the final non-EU contender

Evil Geniuses Defeat OG in Thrilling Showdown at Dota 2’s Berlin Major

Evil Geniuses (EG) secured a top-four finish at Dota 2’s Berlin Major by eliminating OG in an intense match. They are also the only non-European team remaining in the final four, solidifying South America’s position as one of the strongest regions in the game.

The series kicked off with a nail-biter match, with OG holding the lead for almost an hour. However, EG gradually chipped away at their advantage and finally dismantled their defenses at the 59-minute mark.

Many expected OG to falter in the second match after the grueling first one. However, it turned out to be another close battle. At the 30-minute mark, OG’s Artem “Yuragi” Golubiev on Phantom Lancer and Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov on Windranger took control of the game, making it difficult for EG to handle.

With the series tied, the pressure was on EG as the last non-European team in the tournament. However, they didn’t succumb to the stress and dominated the final match.

Christian “Pakazs” Savina on Monkey King, Jean Pierre “Chris Luck” Salazar on Kunnka, and Adrián “Wisper” Dobles on Doom dominated OG in the final match, leaving them with no breathing room.

Despite missing out on a top-four finish, OG’s run in the Berlin Major was spectacular. They had to compete with two stand-ins who exceeded expectations. From remarkable comebacks to providing entertainment for the fans, OG made the most of the tournament. Now, Dota 2 fans eagerly await to see if a South American team can overcome the dominance of European teams in the region.
