Roster Shakeup: BOOM Esports releases 3 players after impressive TI11 run!

BOOM Esports Dota 2 Roster Loses Three Players

BOOM Esports, a prominent team in the SEA Dota 2 scene, recently said goodbye to JaCkky, TIMS, and skem within just four days. The departure of these players is a blow to the organization.

BOOM Esports’ Golden Season

In February 2022, BOOM Esports added JaCkky to their roster, and the team quickly made waves in the Dota 2 community. They achieved impressive results, ranking first and second in the past two DPC tours. BOOM had a dream season, dominating the charts in the first DPC tour as well.

A Successful Season But Struggles on the International Stage

Despite their success in major tournaments, BOOM Esports couldn’t replicate their performance on the international stage. However, they had a shining moment at GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series in Dubai, solidifying their position as one of the most successful teams heading into The International 2022.

The Unexpected Turnaround at TI11

BOOM faced challenges during the group stage of TI11 and was on the brink of elimination. Against all odds, they defied expectations by defeating Evil Geniuses, one of the dominant teams, in a tiebreaker. BOOM also had an upset victory against Team Spirit, the reigning TI10 champions, on the main stage. Unfortunately, their journey ended there.

New Opportunities Await

Following TI11, some BOOM players expressed their desire to explore new opportunities and potentially move to another region for the next season. Despite their success in their home region, the team couldn’t stay together. Neither the organization nor the departing players have announced their future plans, but considering their strong performance in the last season, it’s likely they won’t take long to find new teams.

Currently, only Yopaj and Fbz remain in BOOM Esports. However, Yopaj has also shown intentions of exploring his options.
