Quincy Crew Announces Fata’s Signing Alongside Lelis and MSS Return to Dota 2 Roster

Quincy Crew adjusts roster for better performance in DPC

Quincy Crew is making changes to its Dota Pro Circuit roster in hopes of improving its performance. The team has brought back former players Rodrigo “LESLÃO” Santos (formerly known as Lelis) and MSS, and has also signed Fata as the new captain. Fata, who previously competed in Western Europe, will now be competing in North America once again.

The new roster

This completes Quincy Crew’s roster for the upcoming DPC season. The team made the decision to replace ponlo, MiLAN, and KheZu with these new additions to better compete against teams like Evil Geniuses and TSM. Their goal is to secure a spot at the Arlington Major in August and TI11 in October.

Return of familiar faces

The return of LESLÃO and MSS to Quincy Crew brings back familiar talent. Both players were part of QC during the 2021 DPC season and were instrumental in qualifying for TI10. However, after a disappointing performance at TI10, most of the roster was changed in an effort to rebuild the team.

LESLÃO briefly joined Alliance before being dropped after the Winter Tour of the 2022 DPC. MSS, on the other hand, remained a free agent and temporarily stood in for QC during the Spring Tour due to ponlo’s visa issues.

Fata’s comeback

Fata, who helped found Tundra Esports, was kicked from the team ahead of the Spring Tour. Now he returns to North America for the first time since his stint with Clound9 in 2017.

Past performance and future goals

Although Quincy Crew finished first in NA’s Division I regional league for the Winter Tour, they fell short in the Regional Final against Evil Geniuses and TSM. They also failed to qualify for the Stockholm Major, placing third in the Spring Tour. These roster changes are aimed at improving the team’s chances in the upcoming Summer Tour, where they will be competing for a spot at the Major.

With TSM as the heavy favorite in the region, Quincy Crew will have to fight hard to secure the second Major ticket. The team’s reshuffling, along with the changes made by Evil Geniuses, will make the competition even tougher.
