Puppey hints at TI12 participation despite early exit in Dota 2 season

Puppey Teases Possible Involvement in TI12 Despite Team Secret’s Qualification Failure

Team Secret’s captain, Puppey, dropped a hint suggesting his potential appearance at The International 12, even though his team failed to qualify for the event. In a lighthearted interview segment entitled “Asking Puppey Dumb Questions,” Puppey playfully responded to a comment about not needing to travel to the host city of Seattle with a cryptic statement, saying, “Maybe I have to.”

Since then, the Dota 2 community has been buzzing with speculation about Puppey’s involvement. Could he be working as an analyst or participating in an all-star match? There’s also the possibility of something unexpected. Regardless, the news of Puppey potentially being part of TI12 in some capacity is thrilling. Although it won’t maintain his streak, it’s still exciting.

Puppey has been a prominent figure in The International since its inception in 2011. He led Na’Vi to victory, finished as a runner-up twice, and secured a third-place finish with Team Secret. Despite his success, Puppey’s journey with Team Secret has faced challenges, such as losing Nisha to Team Liquid, resulting in a dip in performance and relegation to the second division. Although they made a comeback during the Western European Qualifiers, they ultimately missed out on qualifying for TI12.

Nevertheless, for Puppey’s fans, the possibility of his appearance at TI12 is bittersweet. It would serve as a consolation for the setbacks and make the tournament feel complete.
