Puppey and Gorgc Analyze Dota 2 Patch 7.33 Revisions

Valve Releases Highly Anticipated Dota 2 Patch 7.33

On April 20, Valve launched the long-awaited Dota 2 Patch 7.33. Despite being an inconvenient timing for competitive teams, popular Dota 2 streamer Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski and veteran pro player Clement “Puppey” Ivanov wasted no time and delved into the extensive patch notes in the early hours of April 21. They put the changes to the test in the game’s practice mode.

Notable Changes in Patch 7.33

Upon analyzing the patch notes, Gorgc and Puppey quickly identified some of the most powerful changes in Patch 7.33. Although Valve aimed to decrease the duration of stuns in the game, they introduced a new stun for Bounty Hunter that did not go unnoticed.

New Stun Mechanic for Bounty Hunter

Intriguingly, Valve decided to incorporate a new stun into Shadow Walk for Bounty Hunter while removing the mini stun from Shuriken Toss. This means that Bounty Hunter will now be capable of stunning targets for over two seconds by timing Shadow Walks effectively.

Bounty Hunter’s strength lies in roaming around the map and ambushing enemy cores. With this new stun mechanic, Bounty Hunter can quickly set up early kills and apply immense pressure to opponents.

Undying’s New Saving Abilities

Puppey, being a support player, noticed the addition of new saving capabilities in the latest Dota 2 patch. Particularly, he highlighted Undying’s interaction with Tombstone, which is linked to the hero’s Aghanim’s Shard. Similar to Tusk’s Snowball, Undying can rescue an ally by placing them inside his Tombstone.

Although this mechanic may seem peculiar, Puppey and Gorgc believe it could be overpowered since the spell has a brief animation and can be used to protect stunned or hexed allies during team fights.

Exploring all the Exciting Features of Dota 2 Patch 7.33

Gorgc and Puppey further explored all the thrilling additions in Dota 2 Patch 7.33, ranging from MegaMeepo to the first significant change in Black King Bar’s history. However, the extensive testing of the entire patch started to take a toll on Gorgc, as he found it challenging to properly assess certain mechanics due to his autopilot tendencies from the previous Dota 2 version.
