PSG.LGD Fails to Advance in Open Qualifiers for Second Consecutive Time

PSG.LGD is having a tough time in the current Dota Pro Circuit season. They have been a prominent team in Dota for a long time, with strong performances in the last two Internationals. However, surprisingly, they have experienced back-to-back losses in the open qualifiers.

It seems like PSG.LGD is stuck in a recurring nightmare. They have changed their carry player twice in a span of five days. Unlike other teams that took a break and returned to win Majors, PSG.LGD has not been able to make it to a single tournament in this year’s DPC. Unfortunately, they have also missed out on earning DPC points, which means they won’t be invited to the closed qualifiers in the future and will have to go through open qualifiers again if they want to compete in a Major.

Perhaps PSG.LGD is trying to replicate OG’s Cinderella story in TI8, where the European team made a last-minute roster change and went on to win the tournament. With only two rounds of tournaments left this season, PSG.LGD is running out of chances to make it to an offline event.

In the open qualifiers, PSG.LGD lost to Team Blaze 2-0 in the finals. Team Blaze has a notable female player, Axx, who will now have the opportunity to compete in the ESL One Los Angeles Major and become the first female to participate in a DPC tournament.

Regardless of PSG.LGD’s struggles, the Chinese qualifiers for the LA Major will continue. The closed qualifiers will take place tomorrow, and three teams will secure their spots in the City of Angels.
