Peter “ppd” Dager Returns to Competitive Dota 2

One of the main factors that led to his retirement was the cancellation of the ESL One Los Angeles Major due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This event, along with other effects of the pandemic, influenced his decision to step away from the game temporarily.

ppd reflects on the challenges he faced, including roster changes and a shorthanded team, which took a toll on his enjoyment of the game. In retrospect, he acknowledges that taking time off would have been a safer option, but he doesn’t regret his spontaneous retirement.

During his time away from competitive play, ppd explored different areas of esports and game design. He settled on streaming as a way to fully explore his passion for the medium, and after three months of streaming, he felt a renewed sense of competitive spirit.

Now, ppd is back and focused on competing in Dota 2 tournaments. He is grateful to his teammates, Fear, DNM, Moo, and Sneyking, for their support. The revived Sadboys roster is preparing to play in the upper division of the NA DPC regional league and is open to offers from organizations interested in entering Dota 2.
