Potential exclusion of Dendi from future Na’Vi lineup

Danil “Dendi” Ishutin, Dota 2 Legend, Potentially Leaving Na’Vi after Seven Years

Danil “Dendi” Ishutin, the most iconic Dota 2 player in history, may be leaving his team after an impressive seven-year run.

Over the years, Dendi played a pivotal role in establishing Na’Vi as a dominant force in the world of esports. In 2011, he helped the team secure their first International event victory, and led the team to two more consecutive grand final appearances in 2012 and 2013.

However, since 2014, Na’Vi’s Dota 2 performance has declined, and the team has undergone significant roster changes. Now, it appears that Dendi may be among the players that the organization considers cutting.

In a recent vlog, Na’Vi CEO Yevhen Zolotarov discussed the organization’s plans after their lackluster performance in the Dota 2 Pro Circuit. After careful consideration, the team has decided to build their lineup around support player Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev. Na’Vi will also retain their carry player Vladislav “Crystallize” Krystanek.

While Zolotarov mentioned that Dendi is still under contract with Na’Vi, Dendi himself posted a statement on Twitter that suggests he won’t be continuing with the team.

Despite the recent struggles, Dendi’s reputation extends beyond Dota 2, making him a revered figure in the world of esports as a whole.
