The Kuala Lumpur Major Day 3: Main Event Begins with Intense Playoffs

Team Secret dominates Vici Gaming in a thrilling start to the playoffs.

Team Secret displays their dominance in the series opener, securing a quick victory in just 27 minutes. With a focused approach on control and offense, Secret accumulates 34 kills.

Vici fights back in game two, maintaining a resource advantage and forcing Secret to play from behind. However, Secret’s strength in teamfights enables them to emerge victorious, advancing to the second round of the upper bracket.

The second upper bracket match between LGD Gaming and Alliance is a one-sided affair, with LGD dominating throughout. Each game concludes within 30 minutes, with LGD securing a staggering 71 kills compared to Alliance’s 28.

After a 2-0 victory, LGD progresses to the next round, while Alliance is relegated to the lower bracket for the remaining matches of the day.

As the event transitions to the lower bracket, the format shifts to single-elimination rounds. The first casualty of this format is paiN Gaming, who face a quick defeat at the hands of TNC Predator in just 23 minutes.

In a surprise upset, paiN X defeats the winners of DreamLeague Season 10, Tigers, in a thrilling match. paiN X showcases excellent execution and surprises their opponents, resulting in a game-ending at the 35-minute mark.

Both paiN Gaming and Tigers are now eliminated from the tournament. The upcoming playoff matches will proceed as best-of-three until the grand finals.
