PaiN Gaming and beastcoast Dominate South American Qualifiers for DreamLeague Season 13

paiN Gaming and beastcoast Qualify for DreamLeague Season 13 Major

The South American qualifiers for the DreamLeague Season 13 Major have concluded, with paiN Gaming and beastcoast securing their spots. Despite the perception that the region is the weakest in competitive Dota 2, both teams consistently perform well and dominate South America. In the group stage, the two top teams, paiN Gaming and beastcoast, ended up in the same group and both qualified for the playoffs. They had tough competition from the new FURIA Esports roster as well. In the playoffs, paiN Gaming claimed the top seed and defeated EgoBoys to advance to the upper bracket finals where they faced beastcoast.

In a thrilling three-game series, paiN Gaming took the first game with a Gyrocopter-Templar Assassin core, but beastcoast rallied back in the second game with a successful Sven pick. The series came down to the third game where paiN Gaming’s focus on the supports and isolation of beastcoast’s Meepo led to their victory. With paiN Gaming securing the top seed, beastcoast had one last chance to qualify for the Major by defeating EgoBoys, and they did so convincingly with a two-game sweep.

Looking ahead, EgoBoys will be the favorite in the SA WePlay! Bukovel Minor qualifiers, but they will face tough competition from other strong teams that missed out on the Major.
