OG’s Socksha to Substitute for Topson at OGA Dota PIT

OG’s Coach Socksha to Substitute for Topson in OGA Dota PIT Tournament

OG’s coach, Socksha, will be standing in for mid laner Topson in the upcoming OGA Dota PIT tournament, the organization announced today. Topson, who recently became a father, is taking time off to care for his wife and newborn child.

This won’t be the first time Socksha has subbed for the main squad. During the EPICENTER Major in 2019, captain N0tail was unable to play due to a medical emergency that resulted in his hospitalization.

Given the recent changes in Topson’s life, he won’t be participating in OG’s Dota PIT matches this week. However, the team is delighted to have FollowSockshka standing in for him. You can read more about it here.

It’s likely that Socksha won’t be directly replacing Topson, but rather moving to position five. N0tail and MidOne, who have both played carry and mid roles in the past, are the most probable candidates for position two.

SumaiL’s departure two months ago forced some role changes within the squad. With MidOne now taking on the safe lane, it’s more likely that N0tail will transition to the mid lane to allow the new carry player to adjust.

The third season of OGA Dota PIT has a $160,000 prize pool and will take place from Sept. 23 to 26. The tournament will skip the group stage, and OG will face Alliance in the quarterfinals.
