OG undergoes Dota 2 rebuilding phase, releases 2 players following TI 2023 disappointment

OG is rebuilding its roster after missing out on The International 2023. The team has officially released DM and Taiga, whose contracts expired at the end of the season. Both players had a mediocre performance this season and were moved to the inactive roster. Taiga joined Wildcard Gaming during the North American TI12 Qualifiers and finished fourth.

DM was benched after OG’s fifth-place finish in the TI12 WEU Qualifiers, marking the end of the team’s season.

OG competed at DreamLeague Season 21 with MinD_ContRoL as a stand-in offlaner. The team is now left with four remaining players as Nigma Galaxy’s staple joins Team SMG in Seattle for the Aegis run.

Dropping DM and Taiga doesn’t have a significant impact on OG’s plans for the 2024 season, as they were already inactive. There might still be additional moves, but it’s uncertain. Kitrak and Yuragi could stick with the team, depending on the post-TI roster shuffle.

The biggest question is whether Ceb will stay with the team full-time or if this was his last ride with OG. More information will likely come after TI12 ends on October 29.
