OG stages a remarkable comeback to defeat Evil Geniuses at The International 2019

OG Comes Back Strong to Defeat Evil Geniuses at The International 2019

OG displayed their dominance once again at The International 2019, but their match against Evil Geniuses didn’t start off in their favor. However, with the help of Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen’s well-timed rotations, OG managed to turn the series around and secure a 2-1 victory.

In the first game, it was all EG as they shut down Topson’s Invoker and prevented OG from securing any kills on their cores. With a significant gold lead and a strong kill score, EG seemed poised for victory. OG’s limited options and superior positioning by EG resulted in their defeat.

But in the second game, OG had a stronger draft and made better use of their heroes. Topson on Tiny and Ceb on Enchantress, both comfort picks for OG, proved successful. Despite EG’s early aggression, N0tail’s Oracle supported his core’s farm, while Topson and JerAx on Earthshaker took control. OG secured crucial kills and turned the game in their favor.

The deciding third game was marked by a questionable draft choice from OG, putting N0tail on a position five Rubick. However, OG managed to overcome this challenge and secure a quick turnaround. Ana’s Juggernaut farming and coordination with his teammates led to a victory for OG.

With this 2-1 victory, OG advances further in the tournament, while EG faces elimination in the lower bracket. OG now prepares to face PSG.LGD, a rematch of the TI8 winners finals, with the winner becoming the favorite to win The International 2019.
