OG secures historic victory over Team Liquid to claim The International 2019

OG Wins Back-to-Back Internationals

OG has made history by becoming the first team to win two Internationals in a row. They emerged victorious at The International 2019, claiming the Aegis of Champions for the second time consecutively.

OG dominated Team Liquid, defeating them in three straight games to secure a 3-1 victory in Shanghai. The opening ceremony saw OG place the trophy down before starting their winning streak.

In the first game, Liquid had an interesting draft with some unconventional picks. However, OG’s focus on building up ana on Spectre and their solid execution proved too much for Liquid to handle, resulting in a turnaround and a win for OG.

OG continued to dominate in the second game, with Topson’s exceptional performance on Gyrocopter. Liquid couldn’t gain control of the game as OG relentlessly engaged in battles and secured kills, leading to an overwhelming victory for OG.

The third game saw Liquid trying different strategies, but OG’s control over the map and their strong team coordination proved unbeatable. OG secured another win, putting themselves one step closer to defending their title.

In the final game, Liquid made some changes to their core picks to counter OG’s lineup. However, OG’s versatility and Ana’s exceptional play on carry Io led to their ultimate victory. OG celebrated their back-to-back championship win, solidifying their place as the most dominant team in Dota 2 history.

Liquid’s journey in the tournament was remarkable, with a remarkable 11-1 run through the lower bracket. KuroKy played the most games in the history of The International, with a total of 204 games.

OG’s success has inspired players to have fun, enjoy the game, be nice to each other, and even try out unconventional strategies like the carry Io. The International 2020 will be held in Stockholm, Sweden, where OG will aim to defend their titles once again and potentially achieve a threepeat.
