OG Makes History: First Team to Reach The International 8 Grand Finals

Team OG Surprises with Grand Finals Spot at The International 8

In a surprising turn of events, the once-disorganized Dota 2 roster of Team OG has secured a spot in the grand finals of The International 8. Defying expectations, they defeated Chinese favorites PSG.LGD in the upper bracket finals in a thrilling three-game series.

The matches were closely contested, with each game being evenly matched and filled with comebacks and impressive individual plays. PSG.LGD appeared to have the upper hand in the deciding third game, but OG managed to defend against their attack and secure victory. With PSG.LGD’s carries out of the game for more than two minutes, OG capitalized on the opportunity to claim their spot in the grand finals.

Despite their struggles in the Dota 2 Pro Circuit, OG is now experiencing their most successful International event in the organization’s history.

PSG.LGD, the last remaining Chinese team in The International 8, will now face Evil Geniuses in the lower bracket finals. Evil Geniuses had previously bested PSG.LGD in the group stage and also delivered a dominant performance against Team Liquid, the reigning champions.

With three teams remaining, only two will have a chance to claim the majority of the tournament’s $25 million prize pool.
