OG emerges victorious in the Hassan clash, securing Quincy Crew’s exit from The International 10

OG Advances to Face Team Spirit after Eliminating Quincy Crew in Lower Bracket

The hopes of a three-peat are still alive for OG as they managed to secure a thrilling comeback victory against Quincy Crew in game one of the lower bracket at The International 10. The match also featured a sibling rivalry between SumaiL and YawaR.

Following their unimpressive series against Team Secret, OG needed to prove themselves against QC and show that they still had what it takes for a lower bracket run, which they haven’t done since TI7.

This Dota 2 showdown between OG and QC was a closely contested battle from the start. YawaR’s Monkey King and Quinn’s Kunkka posed a significant threat to OG, especially because SumaiL struggled to find his footing with Luna. QC held a substantial advantage for most of the mid to late game, but they couldn’t shut down the most dangerous player on OG’s team, Topson.

Topson’s exceptional performance on Void Spirit, with a record of 20/3/4 and dealing over 45,000 hero damage, carried OG to victory despite SumaiL’s underwhelming performance.

In game two, QC attempted to mount a comeback after a difficult laning phase, but OG’s dominance continued. Topson achieved a beyond Godlike streak on Dawnbreaker, SumaiL bounced back with a stellar performance, and the entire OG squad made impactful plays. The outcome felt inevitable as QC struggled to recover.

After a hard-fought battle and a valiant effort to stage a comeback, QC had no choice but to concede. YawaR showed sportsmanship by posting “GG gl lil bro” in the all chat, expressing his support for SumaiL and his team.

With this victory, OG will face Team Spirit on Oct. 15, while QC is eliminated from the tournament with a tied ninth-place finish and a prize pool of $800,400. This result matches the performance of the Newbee team, which consisted of YawaR, Quinn, and MSS, at TI9 before eventually becoming Quincy Crew.
