OG completes Dota 2 lineup, securing ex-bear player for offlane position in CIS

OG Announces DM as Final Addition to 2023 Dota Pro Circuit Roster

In an exciting development, OG has officially welcomed Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin from Eastern Europe to complete their 2023 Dota Pro Circuit lineup. This move comes after OG faced difficulties finding a suitable offlaner in Western Europe following their decision to part ways with ATF due to playstyle constraints.

With DM joining the team, OG believes they have found the missing piece to take their performance to the next level. As an offlaner, DM brings a different type of balance compared to ATF, adopting a more sacrificial role that complements the rest of the players. Besides, DM’s passion for the game and willingness to push his own approach further make him an excellent fit for the team.

“DM is an amazing player and human being. He has a very precise approach to Dota and puts his mind into his gameplay every day. I’m very excited to play with him! I believe DM will fit well into our team and bring some cool and exciting ideas,” said OG captain Misha.

The addition of DM, an EEU talent, is not a significant departure from OG’s 2.0 approach. Most of the current OG players are originally from the Eastern European region, so the transition is relatively seamless.

DM now acts as the glue holding Yuragi and bzm’s frontline and Taiga and Misha’s backline together, just as he did for Virtus.pro in the past two years. This demonstrates management’s hope that introducing versatility to the team, which was lacking in the second half of the previous season, will make them more flexible and less reliant on a single playstyle.

It’s worth mentioning that OG may have more roster news in store as they prepare for the 2023 DPC season in January. Exciting times lie ahead for Old G.
