The International 2019 has been full of exciting storylines in the Dota 2 community. From Ogre Magi winning the Arcana Vote to Infamous becoming the first South American team to place top eight at TI, fans have had a lot to cheer about.

Now, the upper bracket has reached its finale with a rematch of the TI8 upper bracket finals between OG and PSG.LGD. The excitement around this clash is at its peak.

In a nail-biting series, OG had to defeat rivals Evil Geniuses to secure their spot in the top three. Battles between former teammates Tal “Fly” Aizik and Johan “N0tail” Sundstein always get the community pumped up.

EG dominated the first game, but OG made a comeback in game two. In a close game three, OG emerged victorious with Anathan “ana” Pham leading the charge on Juggernaut.

On the other hand, LGD faced a tough challenge against Vici Gaming. Although Vici played a similar style, LGD proved their superiority by winning two consecutive games.

Now, the stage is set for an intense battle between the two teams that have shown exceptional performance at TI9.

Both LGD and OG had mixed results during the Dota Pro Circuit. LGD finished sixth compared to last year’s third-place finish, and OG improved from 14th to 10th.

LGD claimed the top seed in the group stage with a 2-0 victory over Team Secret. OG finished with the best overall record in Group B.

This is the first time in the history of The International that the same teams have faced each other in the upper bracket finals two years in a row.

LGD, aiming for their first TI win after nearly a decade of competing, will go up against OG, who are looking to become the first team to win multiple Internationals and go back-to-back.

The highly-anticipated upper bracket finals start at 12:40am CT on Aug. 24.
