Nov. 1 Marks the Arrival of Dueling Fates Update for Dota 2

The Highly Anticipated Dota 2 Patch 7.07 Arrives Nov. 1

The wait is finally over! After two and a half months of anticipation since the Dueling Fates update was initially teased at TI7, Dota 2 players can expect the Patch 7.07 to finally arrive in the game on November 1.

Since the end of The International 7 in August, players have been eagerly awaiting updates and changes in the game. The community, especially on Reddit and social media, has been filled with the cries of players who are eager for something new.

Fortunately, the wait won’t be much longer. The release date for Patch 7.07 was officially announced on the Dota 2 Twitter account, and players from all over the world marked their calendars in excitement.

With past major updates, the community has been treated to not only new heroes, but also a range of balance changes and potentially new items to enhance gameplay. Expectations are high that some of the most dominant heroes in the metagame, like Necrophos, Nyx Assassin, Earthshaker, Venomancer, and Night Stalker, will receive adjustments in this patch.

While there aren’t any patch notes available yet, the announcement itself brings a huge sense of relief to fans of the classic MOBA worldwide. In previous years, Valve would release major updates shortly before and after The International, but this time the post-TI update has taken a long five months to arrive.

Understandably, the community has grown tired of the current metagame, which led to a significant decline in player numbers last month. In fact, the active player count reached its lowest point since 2014.

Now, the next source of excitement for Dota players will be the release of the patch notes, which are expected to be revealed in the coming days.
