NoPing parts ways with its Dota 2 roster, plans to regroup for upcoming DPC season

NoPing e-sports and Dota 2 Roster Part Ways Before Next Season

NoPing e-sports and its Dota 2 rosters have decided to go their separate ways ahead of the upcoming Dota Pro Circuit season. The organization has announced that it will be forming a new roster for the next season, but no further details have been provided at this time.

This is the second South American roster at a high level to split with its sponsor organization in order to explore other opportunities. Thunder Predator took the same path following The International 10.

“By decision of all players in the team, we will not continue with the current lineup,” said NoPing. “We respect the decision and wish success to the players that took the NoPing VPN name to various achievements in Dota 2.”

NoPing and the players, including Gonzalo “Darkmago” Herrera, Oscar Chavez, Farith “Matthew” Puente, and Jose “Panda” Padilla Hernandez, have not specified the reasons for their decision, but it is likely a result of the team’s failure to qualify for TI10. Despite being one of the three teams from South America to make it to a Major, they fell short in the regional qualifiers, losing to Infinity and Team Unknown.

It remains uncertain whether the players will continue playing together or disband entirely and search for new teams individually instead of pursuing a new sponsor together. Here are the players currently looking for new opportunities.

Following this announcement, only beastcoast and SG esports remain unchanged among the top four teams in South America, giving them an advantage heading into the next DPC season if their lineups remain intact. The former Thunder Predator players have indicated that they will continue playing together, so even without a new sponsor, they are likely to remain a strong presence in the region.
