Nisha departs from Team Secret as Dota 2 season approaches in 2023.

Team Secret Confirms Dota 2 Roster for 2023 DPC Season

After much speculation, Team Secret has officially announced its Dota 2 roster for the upcoming 2023 DPC season. Contrary to earlier rumors of a complete rebuild, Secret has decided to retain most of its TI11 players, with the exception of Nisha.

Nisha, who is widely regarded as one of the best and most consistent core players in the game, has been an integral part of the Secret roster for the past four years. With over 700 games played with the team, Nisha played a key role in Secret’s impressive performances during the previous DPC seasons.

Farewell to Nisha

In a heartfelt message, Puppey, the team’s captain, bid farewell to Nisha, saying, “What can I say about my boy Nisha…We’ve shared many laughs, traveled the world, and won a bunch of tournaments. I wish him all the best and hope that his fire will keep burning for many more years.”

Nisha’s journey with Team Secret began in 2018 when he was trying to break into the competitive Dota 2 scene. Secret provided him with his first opportunity at greatness, and he made the most of it. Over time, Nisha evolved into one of the best mid and carry players in the world.

An Impressive Run at TI11

The current iteration of Team Secret came together just a few months before The International 2022. Despite starting in the Last Chance Qualifiers after an upset loss in the Regional Qualifiers, Secret impressed the Dota 2 community with their solid performance. They advanced through the group stages and reached the grand finals, where they faced Tundra Esports. Although the finals ended up being one-sided in favor of Tundra, Secret’s players, including Nisha, delivered legendary performances throughout the tournament.

The Future of Team Secret

As of now, it remains uncertain who will replace Nisha on the Team Secret roster. However, there have been speculations among fans that Nisha might join Team Liquid, as they are currently in need of a proven core player following MATUMBAMAN’s retirement announcement.

Team Secret’s Dota 2 roster for the upcoming season includes:

  • Remco “Crystallis” Arets – Position One
  • Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok – Position Three
  • Bakyt “Zayac” Emilzhanov – Position Four
  • Clement “Puppey” Ivanov – Position Five
  • Lee “Heen” Seung Gon – Coach

Overall, Team Secret’s fans are eagerly waiting to see how the new roster performs in the upcoming DPC season.
